Meet Dom

Dom Hall is a New Zealand born portrait, hospitality and adventure photographer located in Victoria, BC. Dom moved to Canada at the beginning of the Pandemic after making the decision to leave South East Asia, which he was using as his base for several years prior.

Dom’s eye for composition and philosophy for adding elements into the frame are influenced and inspired by photojournalism and the stories of Cappa and Bresson.

Dom’s experience in lighting shows in his work. He has the ability to emulate a range of styles and enjoys pushing the envelope and trying new things. He is able to shoot proficiently under artificial or natural light in any situation. 

His ability to get along with people and communicate across cultures stems from living, working and traveling to interesting frontiers. It enables him to create rich interactions with subjects and makes working with people easy going and enjoyable.
